[서∙축], 의문의 평행선 위를 거닐다

Exhibition [Book∙Architecture]: Walking on a Parallel Line in Question

 

 

동아시아 3국의 저명한 건축가와 디자이너의 협업 결과물에 관한 전시인 ‘한·중·일 로쿠스 디자인 포럼 서울 [서·축]’을 건축·디자인 전시로서의 방법론과 기획력의 적절성 여부의 측면에서 진단해보고자 한다. 향후 베이징에서 열릴 세 번째 [서·축]의 방향성 정립을 위해서라도 획일적 전시 구성을 넘어 “책과 건축 사이의 창조적 틈”을 헤아릴 수 있는 충분한 토론의 장으로서의 ‘로쿠스 디자인 포럼’에 대하여 논의해볼 가치가 있다.

This paper analyzes the curatorial approach and methodology of [Book∙Architecture] exhibition by Locus Design Forum, which presented collaboration works between renowned architects and graphic designers from Korea, China, and Japan respectively.  Some limits and possibilities are discussed largely with future expectation for Locus Design Forum to function actively as a cultural exchange platform between three nations in East Asia for the “Creative Gap between Book and Architecture”.
