온라인 / 오프라인 방식을 통해 동시에 진행된 Foro Académico Internacional de Diseño에 참가했습니다.
올해로 19회를 맞이한 Foro Académico Internacional de Diseño는 1997년 시작된 국제 이미지 페스티벌
(Festival Internacional de la imagen)에 속한 국제 디자인 연구 및 디자인사 학술대회입니다.
이번 학술대회에서는 <XENOlandscapes>이라는 큰 주제 아래 다양한 연구가 공모, 발표되었습니다.
두즈쥔 학생의 "A Study on the Visualization and Correlation of the 'Great Leap Forward'
and 'Cheollima' Movement" 연구는 지역문화의 시각에서 중국과 북한이 1950년대 말부터 1960년대 초까지 전개한
'대약진' 운동과 '천리마' 운동에서 제작한 시각내용물에 초점을 맞추고, 기관, 조직방식, 전개과정
그리고 시각이미지의 역사적 위치 등을 비교 분석한 연구입니다.
최지원 학생의 "The birth and transformation of stainless-steel rice bowls in the Korean industrialization period
from the 1960s to the 1980s" 연구는 1960-80년대 한국의 산업화 시대에 스테인리스 밥공기의 탄생과 확산 과정을 살펴봄으로써, 스테인리스 밥공기라는 일상적 사물이 한국 사회의 일면을 어떻게 담아내고 있는지 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 하는 연구입니다.

XIX Foro Académico Internacional de Diseño <XENOlandscapes>, 31 May- 1 June 2023,
was held at Centro Cultural y de Convenciones Teatro Los Fundadores in Manizales, Colombia.
Zhijun Du, a student in the doctoral course of Design History and Cultural Studies and
Prof. Kim Min-Soo presented "A Study on the Visualization and Correlation of the 'Great Leap Forward'
and 'Cheollima' Movement".
From the perspective of regional culture, the visual contents produced by China and North Korea
during the "Great Leap Forward" and "Thousand Leagues" campaigns from the late 1950s to the early 1960s
are used as a focus, and the comparison is made in terms of institutions, organization, development,
and historical positioning of visual images.
Jiwon Choi, a student in the master course of Design History and Cultural Studies and
Prof. Kim Min-Soo presented "The birth and transformation of stainless-steel rice bowls
in the Korean industrialization period from the 1960s to the 1980s".
The study aims to examine how stainless-steel rice bowls capture one aspect of Korean society
within a specific material, historical, and political context.
